Baran Durlu
Baran Durlu graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at Yıldız Technical University in 2005. In 2020 he founded Baran Durlu Mimarlık in İzmir.
The practice designs residential, hotel, villa and mixed-use buildings. Recurring themes run through the work: planted balconies and terraces wrapping each floor, lasting materials such as natural stone and timber, generous openings for daylight, and courtyards shared by residents.
Architectural design, engineering coordination and construction are handled by one team, so a project keeps its integrity from drawing to site.
